Raised in the shadows of the legendary Public Enemy and the Extreme, the K2 Recoil is their new standard for a high performance all-mountain twin-tips. The Recoil is built solid enough to take a beating in the terrain parks and powerful enough to charge the whole mountain and in all conditions. All-Terrain Rocker makes this ski nimble, powerful, and floaty all at the same time. Another true living legend is born.
K2 Recoil ski features...
- Ability level: Intermediate to expert skiers skiing 50% all mountain, 50% park.
- Specs: 121/90/115 sidecut with a 20m turning radius in a 179cm.
- All Terrain Rocker: 70% camber with 30% rocker. Designed for all snow conditions while delivering percision, power, and edge hold.
- Construction: ABSorbTwinTech sidewalls which gives superb edge control and added strength to your sidewalls for durability.
- Core: Triaxial Braided Fir/Aspen wood core which offers durability, response, and vibration dampening.
- Tip and Tail Plates and Rivets: K2 introduced tip and tail rivets years ago. They were functionally developed for additional protection, reinforcing the tip and tail of the ski against delamination. Although function is still the primary purpose, K2 has evolved the rivets and plates into stylized components.
- Includes binding: Marker Squire SchizoFrantic with a DIN setting of 3-11. We ordered the skis with this binding for 2 reasons: #1- the ski has reinforced holes so the binding should never pull out. #2- The Schizo allows you to adjust the binding from all mountain to a park setting without redrilling. Bindings are not pictured but are white and black in color.
Our comments: This ski skied great! K2 took what they learned from the Public Enemy and Extreme and designed the Recoil. And with the Marker SchizoFrantic binding puts it another step above the rest.
Alpine Accessories recommends to have your bindings installed, adjusted and tested by a certified authorized retailer.
