The Rossignol Avenger 82 Ti ski with Axial 120 binding
This is a tough breed of an all-mountain ski and is designed for advanced to expert skiers seeking the ideal one-ski quiver that rips on the groomers, and performs effortlessly in powder and crud.
The 2011-2012 Rossignol Avenger 82 Ti ski features....
- Performance level- Advanced to expert aggressive skiers skiing 70% frontside and 30% backside.
- OVERSIZE = POWER and CONTROL Two ski construction ideas: a carving ski with a large sidecut and a wide-waisted freeride ski. Oversize takes the benefits of both shapes allowing for strong performance with ease of control. The oversized tip & tail dimensions of the carving ski produce precision, strong edging, and power. The wide waist dimension of the freeride ski increases stability and allows the ski to ski ungroomed terrains.
- Construction- This high-octane ski is made with two sheets of titanium sandwiched around a wood core with vertical sidewalls. With the new all-mountain tip and wide waist of the 82 Ti, it digs trenches on the hardpack and blasts though powder and crud like a freight train.
- VAS or Vibration Absorbing System- Visco elastomer material integrated into the ski’s construction dampen vibrations, adding greater control, stability, and contact with the snow.
- Binding- The TPI Axial 120 binding system is an integrated ski/binding interface system. A control beam combined with Twin VAS (Visco material that absorbs vibrations and facilitates rebound) is integrated into the ski’s construction.
- 177 cm ski specs- 126/82/112 sidecut with a 18.3 radius makes this ski a great cruiser.
- ABOUT SIZING... Many shops will tell you to size your skis according to your height. While height is a factor, if that's all they tell you, run out of there. Rossignol gives their "Authorized Retailers" sizing charts. They recommend a certain weight range for each length. So who are you going to believe? Some sales person or the manufacture? We believe the manufacture. Sometimes, you are between sizes. When between sizes, the rule to follow is the more aggressive you are, the longer you go.
170 cm- 160-179 lbs.
177 cm- 180-199 lbs.
182 cm- 200+ lbs.
