The Rossignol Experience 83 skis with Axium 120 bindings
The Rossignol Experience 83 ski has been SOLD OUT!
A high performance carving machine with a definitive freeride touch and feel that provides advanced and expert skiers with an unprecedented and powerful do-it-all ski. AutoTurn Rocker combines a slightly rockered tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot to help create a ski equally at home floating through deep pow or laying trenches on groomers. On hardpack and variable snow the traditional camber delivers power, energy and edge grip while the rockered tip and tail dramatically improves turn initiation. Combined with a 83 mm waist, the AutoTurn Rocker profile blasts through chop and crud while supplying adequate float on the deep days. Whether charging glades, bowls, hardpack or bumps the Experience 83 is a true all-mountain high performance ski.
The 2011-2012 Rossignol Experience 83 skis features...
- ABILITY LEVEL- Built for good intermediates to expert skiers
- TERRAIN- Skiing 60% groomed, 40% un-groomed
- ROCKER- AutoTurn Rocker combines a slightly rockered tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot to help create a ski equally at home floating through deep pow or laying trenches on groomers. On hardpack and variable snow the traditional camber delivers power, energy and edge grip while the rockered tip and tail dramatically improves turn initiation
- CENTRAL DUALTEC CONSTRUCTION- The fiberglass wood core is reinforced with Basalt which combines the best features of sandwich and cap construction. The cap increases the ski's durability and facilitates rebound while the traditional sidewalls underfoot produce crisp, direct edging pressure. The benefits of the combined constructions yield smooth flex and strong edging for comfortable control.
- SIDECUT- The 132-83-120 sidecut is combined with a 14 radius.
- EXTENDED SIDECUT- The sidecut continues beyond the contact point where the tip and tail rocker start. As speeds and edge angles increase more of the sidecut is engaged resulting in powerful full length edge grip. At lower speeds and edge angles the sidecut is less engaged for more maneuverability and ease.
- CASCADE TIP- The new Cascade Tip uses varying shapes of metal and fiberglass laminates at staggered lengths to provide a lighter extremity. The unique layered shapes control tip torsion which smoothes out turn initiation and improves full edge contact. The lighter weight tip improves the swing weight of the ski for quick and adaptable turn initiation.
- BINDING- The Rossignol Axium 120 L binding is a high-end lightweight binding and comes with a 90mm brake. The reinforced Dual Action toepiece has multi-directional release with high vertical and lateral elastic travel to provide shock absorption, reducing inadvertent release. The Axium heel is lightweight with an easy step-in design. The long lever arms make exiting the binding an effortless motion. The Axium 120 L is an easy-to-use lightweight binding with a DIN range of 3.5-12 for all-mountain skiers.
- ABOUT SIZING... Many shops will tell you to size your skis according to your height. While height is a factor, if that's all they tell you, run out of there. Rossignol gives their "Authorized Retailers" sizing charts. They recommend a certain weight range for each length. So who are you going to believe? Some sales person or the manufacture? We believe the manufacture. Sometimes, you are between sizes. When between sizes, the rule to follow is the more aggressive you are, the longer you go.
168 cm- 160-179 lbs.
176 cm- 180-199 lbs.
184 cm- 200+ lbs.
