This is a perfect ski for intermediate to advanced skiers spending a lot of time on groomed terrain but not to go into powder when the snow is falling.
Salomon RX800 ski features...
- Ability level- Intermediate to advanced skiers sking 70% groomed and 30% ungroomed terrain.
- Dimensions- 125/78/106 in a 161cm with a 14mm radius. The 78mm waist makes this a great ski for groomed runs but will give you float when you ski deeper snow.
- Construction- This full wood core ski also has a double layer of titanium that adds stability but still a lively feel. The Double Monocoque Cap Construction is lightweight, but gives great edge grip when the snow is firm or icy without being demanding. The Pulse Pad Dampening System uses elastomers on the entire edge of the ski, and in the shovel to absorb vibrations and smoother ski to snow contact.
- Rocker- The All Terrain Rocker has rocker in the shovel with camber underfoot. Tip rocker helps the ski plane on top of the powder, initiate a quicker turn and absorb vibrations.
Our comments; Salomon has put a lot into their Enduro series skis and was able to lower the price over the previous X-Wing series. If you're a good intermediate to advanced skier who likes to ski groomed runs most of the time, but not afraid to venture off groomed runs, look closely at the Salomon RX800.
