The Swix World Cup ski vise.
The key to doing a good tune job, is to have a sturdy working platform. Having 3 points of contact gives a good platform but all skis are different. So having adjustable end pieces that are adjustable in height and angle help you do a better job.
- The middle jaws: Open from 40mm to 85mm, are 50mm wide and have rubber grips.
- The end clamps: Have rubber tops to keep your skis from sliding around. They are adjustable in height by 30mm to support your skis in different areas for your preference. The ends also clamp your skis on edge for edge work and even tilt up to 30 degrees to help with beveling.
- The table clamps: For all pieces open to just over 50MM (2") which usually accomodate many work benches.
- Extra: Swix even includes brake holders to help keep your brakes up and out of the way.
Our comments; This is the best vise we could find. If you're a serious tuner or just want to get the job done right, this vise is a great choice. It is so solid, we've even done binding work.
