Since the beginning of paddleboards, boards were shaped like surf boards because they were also used for surfing. But if you're looking for a paddle board to use on an inland lake or river, look no further than the BIC Cross Tough Tec. BIC blended surf inspired outlines with a touring shape for solid performance on flat water and inland lakes.
Features of the BIC 11' Cross Tough Tec Paddle Board
Skill Level: Probably one of the best designed paddle board for beginners to advance paddlers due to its unique shape.
Use: Designed for inland lakes and rivers but can be used for surfing.
Hybrid Design: BIC took the shape of an all around surf styled paddle board and blended it with a touring type nose. This combination gives the board excellent tracking by keeping the board straight. But they didn't stop there. They gave the board a little added width for more stability, and flat deck pad for added balance.
Weight Range of Paddlers: Good stability for beginner paddlers weighing up to 285 lbs. More advanced paddlers up to 325 lbs.
Construction: BIC Tough-Tec technology which uses a closed cell molded watertight EPS foam core wrapped with rugged Polyethylene.
Volume: 265 L
Weight: 42 lbs.
Deck: Embossed EVA foam Full Length deck pad for comfort, yoga, 2 people, or a pet. A BIC Ergo-grip carry handle, 10 gear connectors, and with bungee.
Fin: Quick Fit 9" touring fin. No tools necessary to remove or install fin.
Our Comments: You won't be disappointed on how this board performs in the water. This new shape is the future of paddle boards for inland lakes and rivers. BIC Tough Tec construction offers excellent durability and performance at this price level and makes a good family board that should last a long time.
I have been doing SUP for 3-4 yrs and decided to buy my own board. This met every wish I had for a board, stability, style, construction, durability and price. If your just starting out or experienced like me I highly recommend this board.
Most stable board Ive paddled
This is a great board. Great balance, tracks straight, durable, and slices waves. I like all the gear connectors. 8 of them. I can attach anything anywhere. Wish it was a little lighter. I could have gone for the more expensive ace model which is lighter but I was trying to save some money. But it is durable. I was putting my board on my car on a windy day and the wind got a hold of it and I dropped the board. I was surprised to see no damage. Nothing!
