Blizzard Skis
It all started in 1945 when Toni Arnsteiner came home from the war and started making skis from his fathers carpentry business. Since then, Blizzard skis have been under some of the best skiers in the world. Skier Franz Klammer won a gold medal in the Olympics on Blizzard skis. Jean Vaurnet won in the World Championship in 1958, and recently Mario Matt won Olympic gold in Sochi in 2014. They know how to build skis.
Blizzard invented the Thermo-Ski, the first temperature controlled ski. Blizzard also invented the IQ-System which integrates ski and binding together. And most recently Flip Core Rocker technology which the rocker shape is produced without having to bend or artificially shape the ski in a press. The end result is an innovative rocker that opens up a new level of stability together with even pressure distribution on the ski.
Located in the mountains of Italy, they have the perfect area for testing and developing skis for everyone from beginner, to intermediate, to advanced, to expert, to competitor. They manufacture Freeride skis, All mountain skis, Piste skis, Backcountry skis, as well as race skis. Feel the difference.
