Ski and Snowboard Socks!
Why do you need a ski or snowboard sock? Ski and snowboard socks are shaped to the contour of your feet alleviating extra material that can create wrinkles. Sock wrinkles in a boot can cut off circulation which will make your feet cold and uncomfortable. What about white cotton tube socks for the slopes? Cotton absorbs moisture which make your feet damp. Damp feet equals cold feet! If you want warm feet, you should not wear cotton socks. What about sock thickness? Usually, novice to intermediates should have a medium to heavy weight sock. Advance to experts like close fitting boots and they usually have a light to mid weight sock. Will 2 pair of socks make my feet warmer? You may think 2 pair of socks would keep your feet warmer but what happens are two things. First, 2 pair of socks make your feet bigger and your boots then fit snugger cutting off circulation. Second, 2 pair of socks don't allow your feet to breathe making them damp which make them cold.
