Sportube Series 1 features...
Adjusts from 140 cm to 205 cm in length
The Sportube is aerodynamically designed so it can be put on top of your vehicle to offer protection to your gear. It comes with a solid lock pin that passes through 3 layers of plastic to securely hold the Sportube in it's position.
The Sportube has wheels that are fitted on one end for easy mobility around the airport or wherever. You can pull the case along on its wheels with the included EZ pull handle for easy transporting.
It's sure to meet any skiers needs. It is available in black and has a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY against any manufacture defects.
Helpful information: The inside dimensions of the series 1 case is 6 5/8" x 5". If you have large risers on your skis, you may experience a problem fitting your skis and bindings inside the case. Instead, select the Series 2 Sportube or one of our soft padded ski bags with wheels.
The Sportube Series 1 works well for Lacrosse sticks, cross country skis, nautical charts and many other narrow items.
Packing tips: To properly put your skis in the Sportube, put your skis bottom to bottom and put one ski up and one ski down. They will fit inside the case easier. Please keep in mind if your skis have large risers or thick plates under your bindings, opt for the Series 2 Sportube or our fully padded one pair ski bag with wheels.
Our comments; We've carried Sportubes since 1997 and they still continue to be our best selling way to transport your gear. If you want to protect your equipment during transportation, there is no better way than a Sportube.
After having my skis broken from the airlines, I decided a hard case was best. It would have been nice if the case was a little wider so I can put my skis in the case bottom to bottom. But Ill take a little inconvenience over protection any day.

nice but a hassle
Great idea for protection, but you have to use 2 rubber bands and flip your skiis around to get them in the box. Facing each other to get scrathes and rubber bands will fail ove rtime.
